How to wire the Dualsun SLL solar controller for a ISWH pool discharge system?

Edited

To activate and deactivate the ISWH solar circulator (R1), the DualSun SLL controller calculates the temperature difference between :

  • the panel temperature sensor S1

  • the hot water tank temperature sensor S2

To activate and deactivate the solar swimming pool discharge pump (R2), the DualSun SLL controller calculates the temperature difference between :

  • the panel temperature sensor S1

  • the pool water temperature sensor S4

Set system parameter (SYS) = 6

  1. Long press on validation key

  2. Turn the rotary actuator to SYS

  3. Activate the parameter change by pressing the Enter key once

  4. Turn the rotary actuator   to choose the system number (n°6)

  5. Confirm your choice with the confirmation key

  6. Escape key to return to the menu

S1 probe

The S1 probe (4 mm) is supplied with the essential kit, delivered with the DualSun SPRING panels

Position of S1: in the exchanger hole at the outlet of the last panel

S2 probe

The S2 probe (6 mm) is supplied with the DualSun SLL regulation

Position of S2: at the bottom of the tank in a 6 mm thermowell

S4 probe

The S4 probe is supplied with the pool discharge accessories kit

Position of S4: mounted with thermal paste and clamp on the surface of the swimming pool filtration pipe, after the pump. Wrap the probe with thermal adhesive tape to insulate it from ambient air

S3 probe (optional)

If a KM2 T-Box has been ordered, S3 is supplied with the T-Box.

Position of S3: at the top of the tank (6 mm thermowell probe)

Operation of the solar regulation mode:

As soon as the temperature difference between the sensors S1 and S2 or S4 is greater than the values set for the pump start (R1 or R2), the pump is activated and the respective storage tank is heated at most until its temperature reaches the set maximum threshold or nominal value.

The priority operation first triggers the heating of the first storage tank.

  • CHAU1 & CHAU2 DTO = 6 = Delta activation temperature (S1 - S2) or (S1 - S4)

  • CHAU1 & CHAU2 DTF = 2 = Delta deactivation temperature (S1 - S2) or (S1 - S4)

  • CHAU1 R NOM1 = 45 = Nominal temperature of hot water tank

  • CHAU1 R MAX1 = 80 = Maximum hot tank temperature

  • CHAU2 R NOM2 = 30 = Nominal pool water temperature

  • CHAU2 R MAX2 = 32 = Maximum pool water temperature
