How do DualQuickFit interpanel connectors work?
To connect SPRING panels to each other, Dualsun has developed DualQuickfit quick couplings, mounted on flexible lines packaged in the form of crowns.
These couplings have been designed to be very simple and quick to connect hydraulically: this is a key point for a quality installation.
The tightness of the DualQuickfit couplings has been tested and proven during thermal pressure cycling during the tests related to the passage of the EN 12975 standard corresponding to the SOLAR KEYMARK.
These flexible lines are pre-assembled with a flexible DN15 or DN26 hose, depending on the nominal flow rate required, see table below, and with DualQuickfit quick couplings, portrait or landscape, depending on the layout of the installation.
| ||
Flow rate | DualQuickfit in portrait-mode | DualQuickfit in landscape-mode |
DHW = 60L/h/panel | DN15 | DN15 |
Pool discharge / Heat pump coupling = 100L/h/panel | DN15 ou DN26 | DN15 |
Direct pool heating = 200L/h/panel | DN26 | - |
Technical characteristics of Dualsun DualQuickfit links
Material
The DualQuickfit inter-panel connection of the Dualsun SPRING hybrid solar panel is made of a flexible hose and DualQuickfit quick fittings.
It's UV resistance has been tested:
in accordance with 1431-1 ("Vulcanized or thermoplastic rubber - Resistance to ozone cracking - Part 1: Tests under static and dynamic elongation)
in thermal cycling (TC200) under pressure at 1.5 bar from -40 ° C to + 85 ° C according to IEC 61215: 2016 and 61730: 2016
DualQuickfit quick fittings are made of injected polypropylene with 30% glass fiber.
Dimensions
In a pressurized (P) system the flexible hose is an EPDM hose with internal x external dimensions: 15mm x 21mm.
In domestic hot water supply system the flexible hose is an EPDM hose with internal x external dimensions : 26mm x 32mm.
Inter-coupling distance of the SPRING inter-panel links
The DualQuickfit inter-panel link spacing has been defined to facilitate the connection of the links to the Dualsun SPRING panels.
Distance between each coupling on each DualQuickfit link type:
| Portrait | Landscape | ||
| DN15 | DN26 | DN15 | DN26 |
SPRING 300 | 1062 mm | 1062 mm | 1710 mm | - |
SPRING 375 | 1210 mm | 1210 mm | 1710 mm | - |
SPRING 425 | 1160 mm | 1160 mm | 1960 mm | - |
Installation of DualQuickfit links
It is possible to connect hydraulically up to 6 hybrid solar panels Dualsun SPRING.
Install the inlet/outlet fitting kit on the DualQuickfit hydraulic links according to the layout plan before installing them on the panels onto the roof.
Be sure to insert the DualQuickfit fitting straight into the SPRING panel manifold.

SPRING 375 VS SPRING 300-3150
The Dualsun DualQuickfit connections are identical between the SPRING 300-315 and SPRING 375 Shingle panels, only the distance between connections in portrait is different. In fact, the Dualsun SPRING 375 Shingle panels are significantly wider than the SPRING 300-315 panels.
SPRING 300-315 VS SPRING 280
Dualsun DualQuickfit connections are different between SPRING Dualsun SPRING 280 panels and Dualsun SPRING 300 - 315 panels. was designed by Dualsun engineers. The SPRING 300-315 fitting is therefore fixed by 4 claws which grip the collector. And the SPRING 300-315 fitting seal is now on the fitting end to be inserted into the manifold.
This notably guarantees broad compatibility with roof installation systems.
