Are Dualsun panels compatible with the ESDEC FlatFix Fusion mounting systems?

Edited

YES, and this compatibility has been attested by an independent Control Office which has issued a New Technology Investigation (NTI) to confirm it.

The Dualsun FLASH and SPRING panels are therefore compatible with the FlatFix Fusion mounting systems from ESDEC.

  • Roof type: Flat roof

  • Certification : Dualsun SPRING and FLASH panels are integrated in ETN L19.05040

  • Possible layout: Landscape - Ballasted mounting system

Details for installers :

  • Panel installation : Landscape

  • Hydraulic Links : DualSun DualQuickfit  DN15 Landscape

Installing modules with junction box positioned on the left  (front view):

No interference between DualQuickfit fittings and FlatFix Fusion structural elements:

Top hydraulic line:

Passage of hydraulic hoses without any constraints.

The installation of modules with junction box on the right (front view) is preferred.

Installing hose support hooks:

The hoses do not touch the ground.

Installation of wind deflectors:

No interference with the rear wind deflector.

Cutouts are needed on the lateral wind deflectors for the passage of the hoses:

  • Passage of the lower hydraulic line hose:

- Cutout of the deflector : minimum 4 x 2.5 cm.
- Place a protective sheath on the cut-out area of the deflector to avoid damaging the hydraulic hose.
- Sheath required on the 3 edges (sharp edges).

  • Passage of the upper hydraulic line hose:

- Cutout of the deflector : minimum 4 x 2.5 cm.
- Place a protective sheath on the cut-out area of the deflector to avoid damaging the hydraulic hose.
- Sheath required on the 3  edges (sharp edges).
- Be careful not to cut at the star level allowing the deflector to be attached to the FlatFix Fusion stud.

Steps for installing Dualsun SPRING modules on FlatFix Fusion system:

  • Place the ESDEC FlatFix Fusion system on the roof

  • Lay Dualsun DualQuickfit hydraulic links on the ESDEC  FlatFix  Fusionsystem above the FlatFix  Fusion rails.

  • Lay each Dualsun SPRING module with junction box on the right, front view

  • Connect the DualQuickfit hydraulic fitting of the lower hydraulic link after each Dualsun SPRING module is installed.

  • The module that has just been installed  can be  lifted to insert the  DualQuickfit hydraulic fitting

  • Maximum number of Dualsun SPRING modules to be connected to a hydraulic line = 6

  • The electrical and hydraulic connection can be made without lifting the modules, however it is possible to lift them to facilitate access
