Why is the rated thermal power of the wave panel calculated by the SPF so low?
Edited
The DualSun Wave panel is included in the list of solar collectors approved by the SPF; this guarantees the quality of the product.
However in order to calculate the thermal power of the panels, the SPF uses a formula specifically adapted for standard thermal sensors which takes into account the production of heat at high temperatures. The values returned for the DualSun Wave panel are then zero, which affects the final result, and so the rated thermal power is not proportional to the yields found in actual use.
Concretely if the formula of calculation were better adapted to panels that work at low temperatures we would have a thermal power rating between 300 and 400 Wth for each panel.
